Join us for this episode of Conversations with Karen and Cat. We sit down with Gary Stevenson who says that sharing and caring for others is in his DNA.
Gary retired from the military after 24 years of service and now currently works with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Atlanta as a Emergency Management Specialist.
Gary talks about one of his passions, his work as a CASA ( Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer for the past seventeen (17) years. As a CASA Gary has had the opportunity to pour into the lives of many children over the 17 years. He has established relationships with families, teachers, court personnel and judges to make recommendations to the court about what is the best interest of that child.
Join us as he discusses the important need for more men of color to get involved with CASA and the impact that you can have on the live of a youth in foster care.
