Teshara Felder-Livingston of National Nurses United talks with Karen and Cat about the nursing crisis within our VA health care system. She discusses issues of retention, work schedules and patient/nurse ratios.
Nurse Felder- Livingston is an RN and served for 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a Public Health Officer. She was part of the U.S. Navy Commissioned Officers Medical Service Corps, achieving the rank of LCDR. Felder-Livingston is an OEF/OIF veteran, serving 3 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan as medical support alongside our U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army service members.
