In this episode of Conversations with Karen and Cat we are joined by Candice Washington and Hotep of Black Education Station. BES is a streaming TV network providing educational content for black children ages 0-10. Candace and Hotep are educational specialists focused on school data and educational success strategies.
The discussion centers on the resources, information and tools that parents should equip themselves with to educate the whole child.
Candice is the Director of PR & Communications for BES. She is a graduate of Spelman College and serves the community as a consultant, author, host, and national speaker in the education space. She's also a mom who understands and supports the importance of having platforms such as Black Education Station in every Black household and predominately Black organization across America.

Hotep, is an Educational Media Mogul, graduate of Morehouse College, retired teacher and author. He also is a consultant to schools across the US, a father of 2 and producer of several different types of media including: books, cartoons, films, music and video games. His profound work has earned him nominations for the Presidential Citizen’s Award and as a CNN Hero.
Hotep believes entrepreneurship is the key to freedom for all people. “It’s either ownership or slaveship,” he says.
