Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY in a Grenadian household, I am the youngest of three children and the only girl. Witnessing my parents’ work ethic is why passion is present in everything I do! My master’s in project management was obtained from the University of Maryland, and my bachelor’s in accounting from Adelphi University. I hold nearly 3 decades of experience in the financial arena. My specialties include cash management, supervising financial teams, financial statement preparation, budgeting, overseeing system implementations, and multimillion dollar transactions.
Currently employed with Hanover Direct as the Vice President of Finance, I have had the pleasure of working alongside management and personnel for the last decade. Hanover Direct has been in business for 100+ years as a manufacturing and retail company, based in Lacrosse, WI. In 2017 they sold their largest subsidiary Company Store to Home Depot for $110MM. That was a pivotal moment in my career since I led the finance team transition to Home Depot’s accounting team.
Like Hanover, I am the Vice President of Finance for another multimillion-dollar company Seasonal, LLC. It is a startup retail business that commenced operations in May 2023 and is based in NJ. Our presence is online through our physical website, as well as Amazon, Walmart, Kohls, Macys, and contracts with other large retailers are pending.
My most recent ventures are roles held with WINN Network and Project WINN. After taking a stocks and options class during COVID with Founder & CEO Tajah Muhammad, I never imagined being in these positions today! I am a Board Member for Project WINN, and Chief Financial Officer, aka The Budget Maven, for WINN Network. The focal point for WINN’s brand is mindset development and financial competency; offering workshops and educational tools to prepare students for real life scenarios. Collectively, I regulate WINN’s financials, execute contracts, and educate on financial competency, focused on personal finance and budgeting.
Last, I am the owner and founder of J. Noels Powerhouse Solutions, a consulting firm focused on aiding small businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals with their bookkeeping, financial and budgeting needs.
On a personal note, I love travelling, cooking, and working out. I recently got married in August 2023, and continue expanding my skills by learning and practicing the Haitian Kreyol language.
